About Us

C4C Action builds off of the power and relationships created during Councilmember Carroll Fife’s 2020 City Council Campaign where community members were inspired and united by her platforms: housing as a human right; investing in real alternatives to public safety; climate and environmental justice for all; and taxing corporate wealth to increase city revenue. Using the on-the-ground, person-to-person tactics of electoral campaigns, C4C Action works with Oakland residents and neighborhood organizations to build sustained community engagement to ensure that real progressive policies are implemented.

We are a multi-racial organization committed to organizing with all of the incredibly diverse constituencies in Oakland. Because the most recent Oakland Equity Indicators Report from 2018 illuminates the particular inequities faced by Black communities in Oakland across all six indicators – public safety, housing, neighborhood and civic life, public health, education, and the economy – C4C Action is committed to following Black leadership and prioritizing the needs of the Black community. Our advocacy is in alignment with Councilmember Fife’s 2020 campaign platform.
